Fall Faves & Empties | I used up so many products!

I can’t believe it’s December! Where did this year go? I am so excited to tie up all my loose ends for the year and start my planned projects for the new year. But back to the post, today I am going to show you my favorite products from last month and the insane amount of products I used up. I will also have swatches on my IG story on Monday to give you a little more in depth look at the products.

I’ll start with the one skincare product I recently purchased that has changed my skin completely. I’ve started using the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and I love it. It’s perfect IMG_20171106_090754_999000for hydrating my skin without making it feel oily. It has such a nice lightweight formula and could work for multiple skin types. My biggest pro for this product is the way it sinks into my skin and doesn’t disrupt my makeup. After the gel dries down I will go in with Benefit‘s Dew the Hoola. It gives me the perfect sunkissed glow. I will even wear this product on no makeup days just to give my complexion a little more color. I will also layer it under foundation. This product comes in handy if you get darker in the summer but don’t want to get a new foundation.ย

IMG_20171105_223737_382000So my favorite foundation right now is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint. It’s a good sheer coverage foundation but I can build it up to at least a medium coverage without it being too thick. This also works great under a lightweight foundation powder. The only downside to it is that it oxidizes terribly so it is very difficult to guess your color. I wear the shade Honey 85 and it turns maybe two shades darker when I first apply it but it ends up blending perfectly.

Moving on, I’ve recently discovered the Maybelline FitMe Loose Powder and I am obsessed! I use it under my eyes to set my shape tape concealer and it looks so flawless. I love that it comes in shades and isn’t just translucent so there’s no flashback. I wear shade Light Medium, a more yellow IMG_20171105_223924_891000undertoned powder, but Medium works for my skin as well. When I don’t use this powder, I’ll grab the Lorac Porefection Baked Powder in shade P5. I’m so sad that this shade was discontinued, I really hope they bring it back. It gives me such a natural finish but it still has some great coverage. The last face product I’ll mention is one of my ride or die products. I am a huge fan of blush in general, but I especially love cream blushes. The Stila Convertible Colors have such an amazing formula. They blend out so smoothly and have great wear. I have a few shades but peony has been my go to lately! My final favorite is Benefit‘s 24hr Brow Setter. It’s like hairspray for your eyebrows. I’ve tried a lot of Brow gels but this one is by far the best!

I also used up quite a few products recently. There were some hits and misses but I’m pretty happy overall. The only things I didn’t like we’re the Too Faced Sketch Marker and the Laura Geller Mascara; they were both flaky and dried out quickly. I do however, love the Revlon Colorstay powder and the Simple Moisturizer and plan on repurchasing both.

So what do you think about my favorites? The Benefit Dew the Hoola is a contender for my Best of 2017 post I have coming up. I also think I’m going to purchase the full size Tarte Smooth Operator Powder; it is amazing! Stay tuned for my next post on Tuesday! And be sure to check out my social media this whole month to see what I have going on this Holiday season! Thanks so much for reading and Happy Holidays!
