The Anti-Haul! Products I Won’t Repurchase

Hey loves! So I have a post today about a topic I have seen going around and figured I would give it a go. A haul is a group of items you purchase for any reason. An anti-haul is a group of items you would choose not to purchase. I’ll be sharing with you my anti-haul; products I dislike and won’t repurchase. Just because I don’t like these products does not mean that they are not good; they just didn’t work for me.

If I had to pick one beauty item to go without, it would definitely be lip gloss. I can’t find a brand that lasts or hydrates my lips. It’s not even a specificIMG_20170816_221408_471000 brand that I don’t like, it’s lip gloss in general. The Ulta Beauty Lip Oil is terrible. It is so sticky and messy. I don’t regularly purchase lip glosses but there are a few in my collection. I am usually a matte lip fan but there are a few formulas that are just too drying. Specifically, the NYX Lingerie liquid lipsticks. After only an hour or two, it is already flaking off my lips. Anastasia Beverly Hills definitely has my favorite liquid lipstick formula.

Moving on to face products, I have very oily skin so I am not one to switch up face products too often. I did an entire review on the Pur Cosmetics Bare It All Foundation so I won’t 20170914_220934go into too much detail. I’ll just say it wasn’t my cup of tea. The Laura Geller primers might be good for people with really dry skin or to use in place of a moisturizer for oily skin. For me, it just did not work. This primer did not allow products to absorb into my skin; everything would just fade off and look uneven. My personal favorite for primers is the Lorac Porefection Mattifying Primer. It’s a great fit for any skin type! Next, I need to talk about the NYX Matte Setting Spray. I am only including it because I use it to dampen my beauty blender. I don’t think this setting spray helps my makeup last at all. I’ll only continue using it to blend out cream products.

I’ve also tried using the setting spray to blend out my concealer. With Benefit‘s Boing, it was just too hard to blend. This concealer makes my undereyes look dry and cakey. It creases terribly because it is too dry to set with a powder. Benefit recently launched their new Airbrush concealer. It is a great alternative and is also waterproof. Speaking of waterproof, the Too Faced Sketch Marker is everything but. It flakes off just like mascara. Once it dries, it settles into wrinkles and creases on your eye. The same goes for the Urban Decay primer potion. It makes my eye shadows crease more than when I don’t wear an eye primer. It also doesn’t cover the veins on my eyelids. I typically will use a concealer under my eyeshadow. With the Elf Lustrous Eyeshadow, nothing will make them stick. Not even glitter glue can give these pigment.

Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products. What is the one beauty product you could easily live without. As always, thanks so much for reading!
